Three to Thrive
Three Golfers who we think will excel at East Lake:
Hideki -4 $9300:
3 top tens here in his last 4 years. The guy is a gamer for the FedEx Cup Playoffs.
10th in Par5 Scoring.
Gained over two strokes T2G last week at the BMW.
The putter has also been steady in the last month.
This is a great price for Hideki
Finau -2 $8200:
Somehow he managed to lose strokes off the tee last week at Olympia Field. After a struggling putter at the Northern Trust, Finau corrected the flat stick at the BMW Championship and looks to continue his progression here. He’s a guy that can score and finished 7th here last year after starting out 12th (-2). We like Finau at this course and at this price.
Kisner -1 $6800:
An all around gamer, it ain’t no hobby for Kevin Kisner. He started out of the top ten last year and finished in the top ten at East Lake. 1st in Par4 scoring 400-450. We have faith in Kisner at East Lake to make up some strokes.
Who’s in the Kill Box? Three to Fade:
Hovland E $6600:
The best finish from an even guy last year was Bryson who finished T12. That’s about the best case scenario from Hovland here. He lost strokes on the approach and T2G at the BMW Championship. We think he is overpriced and due to the starting score, we will be avoiding.
Kevin Na -1 $5500:
The Charity Event Curse struck again last week for Kevin Na. He lost strokes everywhere at Olympia Fields. 61st in Birder or Better and 64th in Par 4 scoring doesn’t give me much faith that Kevin Na can get into contention here.
Ancer -1 $6100:
We think he’s going to be a fairly popular play down here and last year he only had one round where he shot below par at East Lake. That round was also only one stroke below par. Ancer finished 33rd at the BMW Championship where the T2G game was shaky. We will be avoiding Ancer in this one.
